Did You Know: Transubstantiation-Is it Cannibalism?

I grabbed the following off of Wikipedia. This ceremony which the Catholic church replaced communion in its stead is seemingly very sacrilegious. I would love some feedback on this one.
Transubstantiation (in Latin, transsubstantiatio) is the change of the substance ofbread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ occurring in the Eucharistaccording to the teaching of some Christian Churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, while all that is accessible to the senses remain as before.
