Catholic Church enforces Sunday Law in Europe

According to the Associated Press this past week, all Croatian shops will have to be closed on Sundays as of Jan 1, 2009.
ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) _ The Croatian parliament has passed a law forcing shops to close on Sundays in a concession to the Roman Catholic church. The church has campaigned for years for Sundays to be devoted to family or Mass in Croatia, which is almost 90 percent Roman Catholic. But Croatians have begun spending weekends in shopping malls that have flourished across the country in the past few years and remain open seven days a week.
The law adopted Tuesday and goes into effect Jan. 1. It allows Sunday shopping over the summer and Christmas holidays.
The law also allows stores in gas, bus and train stations to open on Sundays year-round, along with those in hospitals. Bakeries, newsstands and flower shops are also exempt from the ban.
Unless we understand the importance of the moments that are swiftly passing into eternity and make ready to stand in the great day of God, we shall be unfaithful stewards. The watchman is to know the time of the night. Everything is now clothed with solemnity that all who believe the truth for this time should realise. They should act in reverence to the day of God. The judgements of God are about to fall upon the world and we need to be preparing for that great day.

god bless you all. hebrews chapter 3 and 4 has the answer you all are lookin for about the sabath. please read it. first paul tells about how moses tryed to convince the isrealites to belive that god would take care of their every need and they would not believe, then god gave them the ten commandments and all they had to do was follow them and they would not. god only asked them to worship him on the sabbath what ever day that fell on cause i don.t have their calander. but they would not even do that.so the walked in the wilderness till they died and thir kids got to go into isreal. then paul tells about as soon as christ was crucified on the cross he bore all our sinns and now we are to rest in him. if we truly have christ in our hearts and we read the word daily and study then we are not out workin or doin our pleasers like watchin tv or a movie, we are at rest with our savior christ jesus, the more you read the more rested you feel. try it. as far as the sunday law. they can not keep you from worshiping our lord because we are the church not some building. jesus wants us to be awake to watch for the mark of the beast. this is just my opinion that the pope will require all to convert to be catholic, i don’t know i am still studying and watchin. god bless everyone
what is the purpose of sunday law in every individual?it was not stated in the bible to worhip GOD every sunday.only people does.
sunday law is not the way to overcome all wat we’ve experienced right now or by putiing 666 tag in every individual.we all know that 666 is satans name.

The seventh-day Sabbath from friday evening to saturday evening is the seal from the Holy Spirit to all True Christians who worship Jesus in spirit and in truth.

Sunday is not the 7th day of the Gregorian week.
Saturday is the 7th day of the Gregorian week.
However, neither Saturday nor Sunday are mentioned in the Bible because the Pagan, Papal Gregorian calendar has only existed since 1582. The Julian, Roman preceded the Gregorian calendar and was changed from March-April beginning of the year to Jan. 1 along with a change in the number of the days of the week to facilitate its adoption by the Christians.
The Biblical calendar is luni-solar and is composed of both systems: moon and sun.
It is also based on the Barley Harvest Calendation combining a New Moon reckoning once the barley is ripe. This is proven biblically, astronomically, chronologically and historically. And all the people who keep Saturday as the 7th day, may be right as far as the Gregorian calendar goes, but are wrong according to the Creation Sabbath.

….if it says the sabbath day is the 7th day…and if you look at your calendar the week begins on sunday means is the first day and saturday is at the end and if you start at sunday and count to 7 then it would be satuday which in the bible exodus ch 20:8-11 tells us the 7th day is the sabbath how come Catholics and most churches worship on sunday…except the Seventh-day Adventist?

The Sabbath is the day of the Lord. The Chatolic Church was the one to change the day. They will get what they deserve at the end.
God cannot let this whole population perish. The day from history can be Saturday but what matters most is How You Observe the day you have chosen. The meaning of the day. Why we are suposed to rest. Now on Resting we move on to how and whom we Pray. Can someone help me here as to how the counting of days started. Especially during the days of the the old Testament. Which day of the week was moses given the commandments.
the bible says that christ was resurrected on the first day of the week! which we all know to be sunday! seeing that he sunday is the first day then we can conclude that saturday is the seventh!

It is all about ones faculty to decide whether to obey God or not.Will the Sunday law to be enforced in line with God’s character of love? Think about that and relate to any biblical event where God used force on his people.It matters on which day one worships.God dedicated sabbath as a special day to rejoice in handiwork.Remember passover in Egypt. Accepting Sunday worship is accepting the Mark of Beast which states in Revelation 13:13-17. There are Seven days in a week in which God created when He created the world. God number the days and man name the days. You will never find a calendar that states there are 10 days within a week or 9 days with in a week. You will always see 7 days within a week. Since creation from the beginning of this world created by God(Gen 1&2)there are seven days in a week. Every calendar has 7 days within a week, once again base off God creating 7 days within a week during His creation. Exodus 20:8-11 clearly states the seventh day is the sabbath which is Saturday and in Hebrews 4:3-8 clearly states if Christ would have spoken of another day He would have told you. The Mark of the Beast is a human institution which stands in direct opposition to the Seal of God. The apostate chuch(Roman Catholic Church)has torn the true Sabbath out of God’s law, substituted Sunday, a festival borrowed from paganism, and now points to this bold action as the MARK of her power.

wow… i am a catholic and i’m in a relationship with a girl who was raised adventist…. i’m really sorry to hear all this hatred for the catholic church… there’s plenty of scripture that says the sabbaths are no longer binding, just as the old law is not binding anymore… read collosians 2:16… sabbaths is used in old testament for both holy days and seventh day sabbaths… read galatians 4:9,10 and a whole bunch more… i love all of you adventists and hope for your salvation… God bless
nowhere in hte bible youll find the day of worship being sunday, the sabbath is on saturday, it was establish by God in creation. It is a covenant we must observe it…the calendar might have have changed but the days remained the same, sunday still the first day of the week. Saturday still the seventh day..the sabbath still binding up to today, the 10 commandments are in the old testament so to the gentleman that says thats an old law. You have to keep the sabbath day holy…
well just as jesus promised he said this would happen from the beging but this is not something to be afraid of this is the sign that jesus is comeing very soon
