Catholic Church enforces Sunday Law in Europe

According to the Associated Press this past week, all Croatian shops will have to be closed on Sundays as of Jan 1, 2009.
ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) _ The Croatian parliament has passed a law forcing shops to close on Sundays in a concession to the Roman Catholic church. The church has campaigned for years for Sundays to be devoted to family or Mass in Croatia, which is almost 90 percent Roman Catholic. But Croatians have begun spending weekends in shopping malls that have flourished across the country in the past few years and remain open seven days a week.
The law adopted Tuesday and goes into effect Jan. 1. It allows Sunday shopping over the summer and Christmas holidays.
The law also allows stores in gas, bus and train stations to open on Sundays year-round, along with those in hospitals. Bakeries, newsstands and flower shops are also exempt from the ban.
Unless we understand the importance of the moments that are swiftly passing into eternity and make ready to stand in the great day of God, we shall be unfaithful stewards. The watchman is to know the time of the night. Everything is now clothed with solemnity that all who believe the truth for this time should realise. They should act in reverence to the day of God. The judgements of God are about to fall upon the world and we need to be preparing for that great day.

I share your urgency but would just like to share with you that the only thing I can go do is to sit at the feet of Jesus everyday in a beautiful relationsip with Him and He has promised that “If you have the Son you have life”. There is nothing I can do to get my character in harmony with the law of God, that is His work in me through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is wanting to reproduce in me that Agape love that He had placed in Adam before the fall, so that I will love Him supremely and my neighbour as myself. Jesus said that is the fulfilling of the law. I am saved by the grace of God through a faith obedience. 1 Cor.1:30 says that “He has become wisdom for me, that is my justification, sanctification and glorification. That is why Paul says I am spiritually already in heavenly places in Christ. I am appearing in the judgment in Christ and there is “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”. If you are in Him you have nothing to fear Jonathan. The Holy Spirit is making a reality in our everyday lives what we already are in Christ Jesus and that is sanctified. Our holy living gives Him all the honour and the glory and is the evidence that we are In Him. Our deeds have no merit whatsoever for salvation, however, if you are In Him right living will be the end result. So take courage and remain in a beautiful relationship with Jesus and trust Him, He is your salvation. Our salvation is from above and was worked out from the foundation of the world.

This is the truth that God’s word will always come true and that all prophesies will have to come to pass. What Croatia has done is the more reason that people of God should relate what prophesy has said and its fulfilment and ultimately the coming of Jesus. Thank God we are about to get home

Cancer (Sunday Law) doesn’t just suddenly appear. It starts out slowly and gradually until it spreads out throughout the whole body (whole world).

I agree with all that is here , We need to get our character in right standing , and that is done at the feet of Jesus ,and of course the prophecy that was given to us reveals truth , but i wonder because i first feel these feelings about myself, if it is not selfish ,even when we see these things coming the focus is always really about self ,please may i explain ,acts 1:8 says take the gospel everywhere these are our brothers and sisters that will die lost and if we are trying to really save them , you can assure yourself that Jesus is living not only in you but through you and your character will be right and you will not only see prophecy come true but will be prophecy coming true , all i am saying is if you had known that a hurricane was coming would you wait until you felt the winds before you would warn you brothers and sisters?
May God have mercy on us. Gods people must stand firm on the faith. The sunday observing christians must now know and accept that though some of them are sincire,they are sincealy on the wrong side. God now wants all of them to start houring his Sabbath- the seventh-day , satarday.
Well, I used to be an Adventist, so I understand why you feel the way you do. However, being a Roman Catholic now, I can say that from an outside perspective there is nothing menacing or odd here. There are people who feel that there needs to be a communal day for a break and for the family. Of course, that day will be the day that adheres to the faith and traditions of the land. Would you want Saturday to suite yourselves then?
It would/should be worrisome for yourselves if there is a ban on worshipping on Saturday that coincides with this, however there is not. Tradition is important, it’s Biblical and it’s God’s way or protecting truth through his Scripture’s, passed traditions and his Magesterium on earth. That’s how the majority who are believers feel and that is the traditions of Europe.
There is honestly nothing for you to worry about here. At the very least, not in what you see here and the way the law is formulated. The article’s title is also extremely misleading.

I can do all things with Christ that strengtheneth me,the bible says.We are all free moral agent. God gave us a free will for us to choose to love Him or the opposite. So, to have the character of Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit from the beginning. Only, we need to decide to obey or reject the still small voice speaking to us through various agencies to our brain. That is why there is faith. But faith is nothing without obedience. This is where we exercise our freedom of choice. We choose to follow the Holy Spirit and it could be seen in our works,what we do, for when we surrender our will to the Holy Spirit , He works in us,through us and for us.
All God fearing people who have the testimony of Jesus and the Spirit of prophecy according Isaiah 8:20 will look toward Heaven even the more now.God help us for the times we are going into are times of trouble such as never was (Daniel 12:2).Everybody will need to learn God’s word and what thus saith the Lord and leave the broad way that every one says is right.Think about it, broad is the way that leads to destruction and narrow is the way that leads to the promised land.If you have not for once stopped to think about the Sabbath as the Lord’s Day of worship…begin now before its too late.Remember that God said “And those days will be shortened”.God help us

I thank God revealer of all things and a faithfull God to his people all the time and all ages. God is a God of love not one who forces his will on us. He wants us to worship him out of love not fear, If they are truly doing it for God then it should not be a binding law to say no one should do anything except worship. God does not operate that way.
My brothers and sisters lets wake up from slumber for now is the time to preach the word of God and to stand firm on his Law. God Law is unmoveable as his throne.
Soon and very soon the troubling and persecution of saints will start.This people will stop at nothing than to shed blood they have once done it and will still do it.
But it is not a time for us to fear anything nor anyone. For Michael our great commander has never lost any Battle or War. We are conqurers and will continue to conqure with Christ under his blood stained banner

Why cant we just read the bible and take it for what the Spirit says?
forgive me , but why should i believe an institution on any level that changed the ten commandments.? Who gives anyone the authority to change the particular day of worship that was put forth in the ten comandments ? The sabbath (sevtenth day of the week) is an eternal gift to man from God . i feel sorry for anyone who violates the warning that God gives in revalation about anyone who adds to or takes away from the word of God…..good luck with that…curtis

As for me I’am so glad that sunday law is coming because this reminds me that the Lord’s coming is very very soon and I can’t wait to see him when he comes in the clouds of glory. We cant just believe what people say because like what the bible says, there will be many false prophets and many will say that they are God and do have the power. We have to read and read the bible in order to face whatever the circumstances that come our way. Like what some other friends have said who gives authority for man to change the ten commandment? Like what God have said Those who believe in me will have eternal life but those who do not believe in me will perish. God is the God of love and he gives freedom of choice to everyone and it is us who make the right decision. In the book of Revelation some of the things that has being said are already revealed but God had promise his people that he will guide his people even through hard times, so I have faith that God will guide me even when trials and temptation comes and if God can do it for me I know he can do it for me…………. Blue laws are bad no matter what day they mandate. People must have freedom to keep the Sabbath (or not) on whatever day they choose. Morality cannot be legislated. Only God can change a heart.
In response to daniel. What’s odd is if the day dosent matter why change it? If people feel there is a need to have a communal day for a break and family,than I think God already gave it to us in the forth commandment.Why is it so hard to do it the way God asked us to? God knew this would happen,that is why He said remember the seventh day to keep it holy.It is a direct call to worship the creator.There is one who was cast out of heaven because he wanted to be god.One thing he claimed was Gods law was unfair. This was done to mislead others.The sabbath commandment is under attack because this same devil will do anything to pull worship from the true creator.As far as tradition is concerned,when Crist came dident He show that mans tradition was way off and of no concern to truly following God.If you say tradition is important and biblical than isn’t it Gods tradition that is important and biblical. Certainly mans tradition is not biblical. Also it is not about mans traditions or how any majority of people feels.Following our feelings and not the word of God to the letter will mislead you every time. God will never mislead you!
I am so glad that only the Great and powerful God who created Heaven and Earth can write His laws on the heart of His created beings. No man can change the heart of love. Thank you JESUS for your precious blood.

Why you teach the children about sex in the schools?
I can understand, sex program doesn’t look bad because the children see mom and dad leave together, they sleep together; they have to know how come mom become pregnant; What is the minimum age they can have boyfriend or girlfriend and get married too like mom and dad; How come a child come in the world, I agree with that. But you go very far with the children, start at 8 years old or less, they have more experience than the parents: using condom to have sex before marriage, big men or women having sex with them under the table and 14 years old they are pregnant for a young drug dealer with one or two hear ring or more or sometimes no father and having sex with animals shouting etc. their blood are in your shoulder. Tell me what kind Gospel do you preach? Inside the Catholic church or outside, the priests say the catholic system don’t allow them to be married, and to have children; Under the table, 99% have sex men to men, women to women and abuse the children, do you know this is hypocrite and wickedness? Pope Benedict XIV, I like you, but you have to clean your mess.

The Catholic Church is changing the times, laws and the things of God. Saturday is the day for worship, it is the Sabbath of teh Lord. Hebrews 4, tells us that. The ten commandments tells us: “Remember the seventh day to keep it holyand acceptable unto God” The Catholic church has changed the commandents to reflect their agenda, that is to be like God. The ppe is calling himself the holy father, there is only one , the Heavenly Father who is Holy. It is onbly the begining of sorrows for those who reject the Lord for who He is. Children of God, take heed, lest your are deceived -Daniel Hahn -take heed lest you stray away from the truth and return to dawkness.
I want all to read Matt. 5:17 onwards. May God help us all to be faithful to Him only!

As a 7th Day Adventist I am praying that you come back to the Family of God. However, we know prophtically, this would happen. This is definite a wake up call for All of us to make sure thate we STUDY and immerse ourselves in God’s word. The enemy is cunning and if possible will deceive the very elect.

The Bible says “Keep the Sabbath….” about 170times throughout the Good Book. The Bible doesn’t mention the word “Sunday” once!!!
So, if you believe in God, then what day should we keep?? Jesus is coming back soon to take his commandments keeping people to heaven, and to punish those that follow men’s rules… the Sunday keepers.
Read God’s Book, the Bible, and draw your own conclusions. Your eternal salvation is at risk.
Jesus said several times “If you love me, keep MY commandments”. And in revelation 22:18-19, it states clearly that the law is immutable!!
Do not keep the commandments of men!!! If you follow this advice, I will see you in HEAVEN. If you do not, well ….

I had no idea about the Sunday Law in Croatia. I live in Australia, why have we not heard of it…..because the media dont want us to know.
When I found out about Croatia, it totally shocked me. I am soooo scared Jesus will come and I am not ready.

Henry Blair’s legislation set forth in 1889, 1890 will solidify once Rome lends it’s power more aggressively to America, enforcing a CHURCH AND STATE UNION. I am excited because the above-mentioned events will imply that Christ’s return will be sooner, as a result of God’s people being SEALED by the Living God (Rev 7:1-4, Early Writings page 36-38). We must accept the message of Righteousness by faith, third angel’s message that amplified to the Loud Cry and Latter rain since 1888, and will go on until the second advent (Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers page 91-92).

It seems like you people want this to happen, the sooner the better.
