Does God want you to be Rich?

Some think Joel Osteen thinks that. Known to many as ‘Reverend Feelgood’ he is thriving in an economy that is not. In an interesting article, Osteen’s life is looked at with scrutiny as his congregation is in a recession and his bank account is booming($13 Million for his latest book-as a signing bonus). Osteen is all talk and no substance is if you ask me. Are people’s lives being changed? I heard someone interviewed the other day who buys into the ‘prosperity gospel’ and they said this as they left prayer meeting ” I know one thing…I was broke when I started coming here…and now I am not. I am making good money now”.
Is that what Jesus preached? I thought the gospel was supposed to change your life and what about the Rich Young Ruler? He was told to sell all and give to the poor. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing…Full Story
