   this must be the message of every seventh day adventist church on this last day. The sabbath is the seal of the living God, sad to say not all who keep the sabbath will be sealed why? because thier work does not correspond to thier faith. THe prophet said, “In the balances of the sanctuary the Seventh-day Adventist church is to be weighed. She will be judged by the privileges and advantages that she has had. If her spiritual experience does not correspond to the advantages that Christ, at infinite cost, has bestowed on her, if the blessings conferred have not qualified her to do the work entrusted to her, on her will be pronounced the sentence: ‘Found wanting.’ By the light bestowed, the opportunities given, will she be judged.” 8T 247.

   “Not all who profess to keep the Sabbath will be sealed.
   There are many even among those who teach the truth to
   others who will not receive the seal of God in their foreheads.
   They had the light of the truth, they knew their
   Master’s will, they understood every point of our faith, but
   they had not corresponding works.” 5T 213, 214.

   “The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead
   of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed
   upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or
   woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men
   or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts.” 5T 216.

   “The seal of God will be placed upon the foreheads of
   those only who sigh and cry for the abominations done in
   the land. Those who link in sympathy with the world are
   eating and drinking with the drunken and will surely be
   destroyed with the workers of iniquity.” 5T 212.

   THE SABBATH

   The Sabbath . . . is God’s time, not ours; when we trespass upon it we are stealing from God. . . . God has given us the whole of six days in which to do our work, and has reserved only one to Himself. This should be a day of blessing to us–a day when we should lay aside all our secular matters and center our thoughts upon God and heaven.”—Heavenly Places, p. 152.

   The Sabbath is a sign of the relationship between God and His people. It designates them as His special, peculiar people who keep His commandments, who are free from idolatry and worship the true God. Exodus 31:16, 17; Ezekiel 20:20.
   On Friday let the preparation for the Sabbath be completed. See that all the clothing is in readiness and that all the cooking is done. Let the boots be blacked and the baths be taken. It is possible to do this. If you make it a rule you can do it. The Sabbath is not to be given to the repairing of garments, to the cooking of food, to pleasure seeking, or to any other worldly employment. Before the setting of the sun let all secular work be laid aside and all secular papers be put out of sight. Parents, explain your work and its purpose to your children, and let them share in your preparation to keep the Sabbath according to the commandment.”—Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 6, pp. 355-356.

   On Friday the clothing of the children is to be looked after. During the week they should be all laid out by their own hands under the direction of the mother, so that they can dress quietly, without any confusion or rushing about and hasty speeches.”—Child Guidance, p. 528.

   General Counsels
   The edges of the Sabbath should be carefully guarded. 6T 356
   While cooking is not permitted on the Sabbath, it is not necessary to eat cold food. CG 532.
   Plan to go outdoors to see the hand of God in nature. CG 533, 534.
   Control your thoughts and words, and direct your meditation and conversation upon spiritual subjects. GW (1890 ed) 208.
   Remember that visiting the sick and giving Bible studies are in perfect harmony with the spirit of true Sabbath-keeping.
   “Those who are not fully converted to the truth frequently let their minds run freely upon worldly business, and, although they may rest from physical toil upon the Sabbath, their tongues speak out what is in their minds; hence these words concerning cattle, crops, losses, and gains. All this is Sabbath breaking. If the mind is running upon worldly matters, the tongue will reveal it, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”—Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 2, p. 703.
   “We should each Sabbath reckon with our souls to see whether the week that has ended has brought spiritual gain or loss.”—Testimonies for the Church, vol. 6, p. 356.
   “None should permit themselves, through the week, to become so absorbed in their temporal interests, and so exhausted by their efforts for worldly gain, that on the Sabbath they have no strength or energy to give to the service of God. We are robbing the Lord when we unfit ourselves to worship Him upon His holy day. And we are robbing ourselves as well; for we need the warmth and glow of association, as well as the strength to be gained from the wisdom and experience of other Christians.”—Child Guidance, p. 530.
   Traveling on the Sabbath
   “If we desire the blessing promised to the obedient, we must observe the Sabbath more strictly. I fear that we often travel on this day when it might be avoided. In harmony with the light which the Lord has given in regard to the observance of the Sabbath, we should be more careful about traveling on the boats or cars on this day. In these matters we should set a right example before our children and youth. In order to reach the churches that need our help, and to give them the message that God desires them to hear, it may be necessary for us to travel on the Sabbath; but so far as possible we should secure our tickets and make all necessary arrangements on some other day. When starting on a journey we should make every possible effort to plan so as to avoid reaching our destination on the Sabbath.”—Vol. 6, Testimonies for the Church, p. 359-360.
   Children playing on the Sabbath?
   “Parents, above everything take care of your children upon the Sabbath. Do not suffer them to violate God’s holy day by playing in the house or out-of-doors. You may just as well break the Sabbath yourselves as to let your children do it, and when you suffer your children to wander about and suffer them to play upon the Sabbath, God looks upon you as Sabbathbreakers.”—Child Guidance, p. 533.

   Those who bare false witness go to hell as well. You need to watch about what comes out of your mouth can you assume what you say about another is FACTUAL because my God says baring false witness or speaking evil against another is SIN. I beleive in keeping more than the sabbath like keeping to the commandment where we are told by Jesus Christ to bring HIS gospel to all. That’s not in the ten you stand by I stand by more than ten commandments like ” I give you a NEW commandment to love one another as I have loved you”. You teach half truths tell it all. A. Sabbath was for Isreal(physical). Isreal shut down for the Sabbath. Why because it was given to them to live by not no other neighboring nor foreign nation. I know longer worship a day I worship the Lord of all my days! Jesus is Christ! I now see what Apostle Paul was talking about it was a shadow of the Messiah. And I seek to bring healings, love, and the word on the sabbath. For it is lawful to do Christ’s good works on even this day! Do you take your shoes off before you enter the sanctuary,also.

   So the sabbath is more important than one teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Better watch what ya teach if it doesn’t line up with Christ and what he taught. He healed, fed, taught not of Moses but of himself, and ofcourse he told the Isrealites to keep the ten commandments, he being God in the flesh is not ignorrant of the COVENANT he made with them. I’m not ignorrant of this covenant, Sabbath was between him and that physical nation. Even the pharisees, sadducees, and essenes knew this also the samaritans. However when the disciples were endued power on high by the Holy Ghost and cloven tongues more instruction came from Christ. Even Apostle Paul taught this. He taught about the OLD covenant and the NEW covenant. I have studied many years, even ancient church history. My friend you leave out much. The Lord’ Day and many of the Apostles would agree became relevant to the first day of the week. I have studied far too much to believe one whom trusts a false prophet over the ancient disciples of Yehoshuah himself. And it saddens me one wishes to open their mouth without yielding unto the Holy Spirit to teach him the truth. I did and my how amazed and still am of the truths Yehoshuah exposes to me and even deceits of Lucifer. Scripture teaches to make sure what you teach its an absolute and to divide rightly the scriptures. He knew division and discourse would come that’s why he showed Apostle Paul to address such.

   Thank you for this message, definitely an eye opener. Let us pray that the Lord may help to understand the true meaning of the Sabbath. God does not change. When he says keep the Sabbath Holy, He means just that. We are lost because we want to reason and argue about his truth.

   This sermon really made me realize how we should observe the Sabbath…these minor things we do not pay attention to. I also like how he kept it real.
